Musician Jah Prayzah (Mukudzei Mukombe) has expressed grief following the death of two fans, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, in a car accident in Edmonton, Canada, on Saturday.
Maziriri and Mafuwe were en route to Jah Prayzah’s “Ndini Mukudzeyi” show when the fatal incident occurred.
In a heartfelt communique shared on his official social media platforms, Jah Prayzah lamented the loss, describing his pain upon receiving the news:
“I was extremely pained by the news I received early today. I have learnt of the passing of two young fans of mine, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident while on their way to one of our shows in Canada.”
He said the two had travelled a long journey purely for the love of music.
“They had travelled far, simply to share a few hours of music and connection with us. To think they never made it to that moment hurts in a way I cannot explain.”
Jah Prayzah also extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and offered words of comfort and prayer:
“A journey that was planned to create only good memories became a journey that only left us with grief. To their families: may you be comforted. May you be comforted in the Lord during this difficult time.”
He also pledged to visit the families personally upon his return to Zimbabwe to pay his respects.
The “Ndini Mukudzeyi” show in Edmonton is part of Jah Prayzah’s ongoing international tour, which continues to connect him with his global fanbase.
