I see you’re giving me some shona words, n honestly l wasn’t expecting that lol, with your color l thought it was only English so with that, l would really wanna know your background
Okay, so , my grandmother is Zimbabwean and my grandfather is Chinese and my father is Japanese so... you see Chinese and Japanese don’t mix so lm one of a kind.

From my research , you have stayed in South Africa before....
I used to live in South Africa, l was studying in SA , I did my high school education in Zimbabwe, went into pharmacy , then l used to work in the lab and then l decided to become a DJ.
So most of your life you been in Zimbawe ?
Most of my life I’ve been in Zimbabwe but l have traveled out of the country a lot with work , i've also traveled in and out of the country a lot and that get me a wider retrospection of how to really focus and envision of what l really need to do with my life.
Where in zimbabwe did you grew up in ?
Harare , lam a CBD girl, straight from Harare , My grandparents are from Chinhoyi .

I'm a very self motivated person who enjoys listening to music because that’s one of my main sources of motivation. (20)
Am such a vibe, l enjoy meeting new people and seeing new people and experience moments of happiness , am just like the sunshine and am also God fearing.
When did you discover your passion for been a DJ ?
Very long time ago, l think i've always been in the arts, l have always been a very artistic person so it was always music and arts. One of my 1st paintings was in the National Arts Gallery and l was in grade 2.
For me to look this way doesn’t mean am not Zimbabwean , l can look like this and still be Zimbabwean but its just the eyes lol .
Asian people see me as more Zimbabwean than they see me Asian.
Why
1 my hair texture is different , i'm mixed, more fine straight hair , mine has that afro texture, if it gets wet, it shows you how it really is.
In Asia, if you’re not fully Asian, then you’re not...
What’s your favourite genre ?
I don’t have one but as of favorite artists, Kanye is there, drake is there....
In Zimbabwe, Nutty O , Bagga, Anita Jaxson , Winky D and Jah Prayzah… l love them both
What genre do you think Bagga does ?
I would say alternative hip-hop , because it can just branch into so many things ..
How did you come up with the name king her ?
It came when l had gotten into the DJ industry and men dominated the industry , by the time Zim didn’t had many female DJs, now we have more than 50 and everyone would be calling me king so l was like ok, l want to be king of djying , l mean am gonna be that girl whose gonna be the king of this thing,so l called my self King Her translating to mambokadzi
Out side of MUSIC, what else do you like doing ?
Cooking, boxing , been creative ….
How many gig can you get per week ?
Am current at 4 residents
A gig that never get out of your mind ?
vic falls carnival,,,, ok grand challenge ,,,, my first biggest crowd ,,, mtn bush fire , last year bout 60 000 people in Swaziland.
How do you prepare for a big concert ?
l pray , prepare my set .....

Being a president for one week, what changes would you make in the music industry ?
I would make sure to get a trining program installed with immediate effect on the business side of music, actually business in arts. Music is a broad word....
2nd : Get international artist to collaborate with our local artists to get us on an international scale. l feel like our music is limited to Africans.
Why do you think our local artist are not collaborating with international artist ?
We do not have the money...
Who do you think make better money, the djs or the artists
Its usually the artists, coz of streaming revenue and stuff...
The DJs complement the artists, I think it needs to be put in a way where artist also needs to appreciate DJs because we put their music on circulation.
Have you signed anything with Zimura ?

How does it work ?
It all stands down to education and workshops ,
You register 1st then you get your dj licence , nowadays promoters ask us for those licenses.
